Automation & Performance Test Engineer (4+ Years Experience)
Product: Menntr (SaaS-based Assessment & Placement Platform) Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid/On-site Preferred) Experience: 4+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation & Performance Test Engineer to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of the Menntr platform. You will be responsible for building robust automation frameworks and validating system performance under real-world load conditions (e.g., 10K+ concurrent student assessments).
Key Responsibilities
Automation Testing
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks (UI & API)
• Write reusable, scalable, and maintainable test scripts
• Automate regression, smoke, and integration test suites
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines
Performance Testing
• Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests
• Simulate real-world scenarios (e.g., concurrent test takers, proctoring load)
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance
• Work closely with DevOps and Backend teams for tuning
Quality Engineering
• Define test strategies, test plans, and test cases
• Perform API, database, and end-to-end testing
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the platform
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Required Skills and Expertise
Automation Tools
• Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
• REST Assured / Postman / Supertest
• TestNG / JUnit / Mocha
Performance Tools
• JMeter / Gatling / k6
• Experience in handling high concurrency systems
Technical Skills
• Strong coding in Java / JavaScript / Python
• API testing and microservices architecture understanding
• Knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes (preferred)
Database and Monitoring
• SQL / NoSQL testing
• Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog
Preferred Experience
• Experience in EdTech or Assessment Platforms
• Knowledge of proctoring systems (video streaming, AI monitoring)
• Handling real-time systems with thousands of concurrent users
• Cloud platforms: AWS / GCP / Azure
Key Success Metrics
• Test automation coverage percentage
• Reduction in production defects
• System performance benchmarks (response time, throughput)
