Overview:

Join PepsiCo in a game-changing role as the Transportation Coordinator for our first-ever 1NA Mixing Center, a pioneering facility integrating PBNA, Quaker, and Frito-Lay products into a single, streamlined distribution system.

 

In this high-impact position, you’ll oversee all key transportation tasks for our 1NA Mixing Center and work closely with our third-party logistics (3PL) partner. You’ll be at the forefront of launching transportation scheduling for this site, all while ensuring operational excellence from day one.

Responsibilities:

As the Warehouse Transportation Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in driving operational excellence, team development, and strategic 3PL partnerships while supporting all aspects of the Inbound/Outbound Dock Schedule. Your responsibilities will include:

 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead communication with all transport carriers, utilizing high level planning and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Solve day-to-day transportation challenges and achieving long-term goals with scheduling. 

3PL & Operational Excellence

  • Partner with 3PL on the new site startup dock scheduling, implementation of the dock schedule, and execution of the dock schedule.
  • Drive improvements in dock performance by providing a strategic dock schedule. 

Inventory & Process Management

  • Leverage PGT and Spotlight Optimization tools to enhance scheduling and product availability.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies, including safety, transportation, accounting, and purchasing. 

Customer Service & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Ensure on-time delivery aligned with Requested/Scheduled Arrival Dates.
  • Build strong relationships across the Power of One network, including PBC bottlers, Co-Packers, Repacker, PBNA/PFNA COE’s, and MFG.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues and deliver exceptional customer service. 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Oversee all transportation responsibilities for our new 1NA Warehouse Mixing Center in Brookshire, Tx.  This new campus will encompass 1.1 million square feet and will be the first of its kind integrating products from our business sectors PBNA, Quaker, and Frito-Lay.
  • Route Orders daily in compliance with the transportation route guide; ensuring timely execution to meet the requested ship date and secure carrier capacity ahead of the competition.
  • Track carrier performance and troubleshoot any loads that may be at risk of missing requested arrival date.
  • Ensure all new orders comply with PepsiCo. guidelines on weight and method of shipment.
  • Work with carriers to schedule all assigned outbound and inbound shipments to our facility.
  • Schedule appointments on all loads; working with the campus manager and third-party facility manager on dock capacity scheduling.
  • Work with all carriers on daily execution.
  • Work with on-site Transportation to deliver daily and weekly measurables.
  • Work with COE (center of excellence), and the service team on scheduling issues.
  • Work with COE, Warehouse, and Transportation on loads not scheduled by end of period.
  • Maintain reason code input within SAP for open order status reporting.
  • Review previous day’s dock schedule to ensure all orders shipped, if not ensure timely reschedule.
  • Collaborate with the shipping office regarding specific shipment requirements.
  • Accountable for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance on the Overdue Mill Transit Receipts Report and Shipment Status Report.
  • Ownership of daily, weekly, period service metrics as they relate to the role.
  • Will be cross trained to support other service center functions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $41,300 - $65,950.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for a results-driven leader with a passion for operations and innovation. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain preferred.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience in transportation or logistical operations, .
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, influence across functions, and drive results in a fast-paced, startup-like environment while leading with a mindset to exceed all Objectives/Metrics.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with WMS, SAP, transportation systems, and labor management systems.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent cross functional collaboration, team building skills, and the ability to influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable working in unstructured environments and making quick, informed decisions.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required (less than 10%).
