Responsibilities Functional Description: Pepsi Logistics Company Inc. Locations available: Plano, TX What you can expect: The purpose of the LD&T Assistant Analyst is to develop a broader understanding of the overall brokerage procurement process via multiple modes of transportation (Intermodal, Refrigerated, Dry TL). This role will develop and understand both manual and automated tracking as well as the procurement in one of the three specialized areas: Full truckload, Intermodal, and/or Refrigerated transportation. Assistant Analysts will be able to analyze the dynamics of tracking and procurement and work with leadership to develop improved business operations. Scope: The role must be able to effectively communicate to make 100 load status updates daily while performing load tracking duties. The role must be able to effectively procure a minimum of 15 loads per day while performing the carrier procurement duties. The role will require fast pace understanding of multiple facades of the PLCI business as well as the ability to aggregate multiple data points and into relevant information that can support strong future business decisions. Accountabilities: Strong working knowledge of a strategic carrier daily capacity and network Strong working knowledge of customer's supply chain, requirements, and new initiatives Responsible for all carrier prospecting, management, negotiations, and relations leading to a strong long-term partnership Ability and willingness to support account management duties as needed by the business Develop and lead key brokerage Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) and Protocols Participate in on-call, after hours and weekend duties as determined based on business needs Scope of Interactions: 80% External - New and existing customers and asset-based carriers 20% Internal - Collaboration with business development, account management, and leadership team Qualifications Key Skills / Experiences: Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with all carriers and customers Ability to influence a carrier to provide capacity during all supply / demand cycles Drive for results to excel at capacity management and load coverage in a variety of scenarios Ability to learn key freight brokerage market dynamics and industry best practices Ability to learn brokerage pricing techniques and tools to effectively secure capacity at optimal rates Effective at negotiation Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-paced business start up Willingness to support account management and customer service tasks Has "Whatever it takes" attitude Minimum Qualifications - Each candidate is expected to: Graduate with Bachelor's degree within one (1) year of internship completion. Be eligible to work in United States without work authorization sponsorship now or anytime in the future Pass a drug screen and background investigation
