About the Role
Pep is looking for a highly skilled Android Engineer (SDE 3) to join their fast-growing team. As a senior member of the mobile engineering team, you’ll take ownership of core Android features, optimize app performance, and work closely with product, design, and backend teams to craft seamless user experiences.

This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly influence the user experience of thousands of customers.

What You’ll Do

1. Build and maintain advanced features for Pep’s Android app
2. Optimize app performance, reliability, and scalability
3. Lead architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new product features
5. Ensure high code quality through code reviews and test coverage
6. Stay updated on industry trends and bring new ideas to the table

What We’re Looking For

1. 5+ years of experience building Android applications
2. Strong command of Kotlin and Java
3. Deep understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.)
4. Experience with tools like Retrofit, Dagger/Hilt, Coroutines, Room
5. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and performance profiling
6. Previous experience in a fast-paced startup or product-led company is a plus
