We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Lead Developer to design, develop, and implement custom SAP ABAP solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables and seamless integration with business processes. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, enforce best development practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, sustainable SAP solutions aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom SAP RICEFW objects
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers, ensuring adherence to SAP/Lucid best practices, coding standards, and project timelines.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot, and resolve ABAP-related issues to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and ensure seamless SAP system integration.
- Ensure quality and consistency of deliverables by follwoing best practices
- Provide ABAP technical support for SAP upgrades, migrations, and patching activities by adapting or re-developing ABAP objects as needed.
- Perform technical troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of ABAP-related issues to maintain optimal system performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, test scripts, and user manuals for ABAP developments.
Required Skills
- Strong SAP technical and architectural experience for providing guidance on design and development of key projects.
- Managing offshore development team
- Knowledge of S4 HANA coding standards including ABAP, Fiori and CDS views
- Experience on building SAP CDS views, O-DATA integration, SAP BTP platform
- Strong experience on development of various RICEFW objects including new development objects like ODATA, CDS, Fiori, RAP etc.
- Good communication skills
- Understanding concepts of clean core and No-code
- Good understanding of various SAP modules (FICO, PP, QM, EWM, SD, MM)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Around 7 years of hands-on experience in ABAP including S4 HANA ABAP development, Fiori
- Knowledge of SAP BTP platform
