We are not a ticketing platform, a nightlife app, or a generic events company. We curate intentional, exclusive experiences (Hotspots) that bring people together in the real world.
We are scaling fast and moving from a tight-knit founding team to a structured, high-velocity organization. To sustain this speed, we are looking for a People & Workplace Operations Manager to serve as the single Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for our team's environment and headcount growth.
Your ultimate metric for success is founder relief: offloading administrative, logistics, and workplace bottlenecks from the management so they can focus on core product design and high-level strategy.
What you will own (the mandate)You will be the core connective tissue holding our physical office and internal operations together. Your responsibilities map directly into two pillars:
1) Talent Acquisition & People Operations (50%)
- Own the hiring pipeline: Actively source, screen, and maintain our candidate pipeline in Notion. You will coordinate the multi-round screening process for creative, technical, and operational talent.
- High-velocity onboarding: Run our structured 90-day onboarding system. You will prepare AI-driven onboarding packs and ensure new hires have full operational context to contribute productively by the end of week two.
- HR operations: Oversee day-to-day human resources, including managing payroll, benefits logistics, basic compliance, and offboarding workflows.
2) Workplace Experience & Admin Logistics (50%)
- Office space sourcing & setup: Lead the end-to-end logistics of finding, negotiating, and setting up our primary office space, keeping budget implications aligned with company benchmarks.
- Vendor & supply chain management: Find, evaluate, and coordinate external vendors for office setup, administrative services, and operational logistics. You will be the sole DRI for vendor timelines and contract maintenance.
- Workspace experience: Manage smaller day-to-day office logistics; from inventory tracking to workspace maintenance, ensuring our physical workspace matches the premium, high-taste aesthetic of the 8club brand.

- Execution speed: You line up vendor options, negotiate contracts, or deploy internal policies in days, not weeks.
Our operating culture & rituals
We run on a highly intentional operating rhythm designed to protect focus and eliminate friction:
- No-meeting mornings: Internal meetings are strictly prohibited before 10:00 AM to preserve deep focus time.
- Async-first cadence: We replace boring status update meetings with concise daily async stand-ups on Slack by 10:00 AM.
- Notion single source of truth: Every vendor agreement, hiring pipeline update, or major administrative decision must be logged in Notion within 24 hours. If it is not documented, it didn't happen.
- High bar, not high ego: We give fast, brutally honest, and specific feedback directly to your face because we care about the quality of the work.
