Role: People Operations Intern
Tenure: 3 months
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in tracking and maintaining compliance under applicable labour laws and regulations
- Maintain statutory registers and records (digital & physical)
- Research updates in labour codes and notify people team
- Monitor due dates and compliance calendar
- Prepare and organize employee records for internal/external audits
- Assist in vendor compliance checks and documentation verification
- Maintain employee personal files and statutory forms
- Support inspections by consultants or authorities (documentation readiness)
- Help with onboarding documentation (KYC, declarations, statutory forms)
- Ensure mandatory compliance forms are completed and stored correctly
- Assist in creating SOPs and compliance trackers
- Identify gaps in current compliance processes and suggest improvements
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed degree in HR, Law, Commerce, or related field
- Basic understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance concepts
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and documentation systems
- Familiarity with payroll inputs and statutory deductions
- Exposure to audit documentation
