About the role
The role of an SPPID Admin requires a specific set of Skills to effectively manage and support (SPPID) Systems, especially in the context of EPC projects in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SPPID software on servers and workstations.
Provide ongoing support for SPI/SPPID systems, troubleshooting any issues related to functionality, performance, or software compatibility.
Coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of SPI/SPPID with other engineering and project management tools.
Manage user access, security settings, and ensure proper configuration for multi-user environments.
Collaborate with project teams and technical teams to ensure SPI/SPPID meets project and operational requirements.
Troubleshoot technical issues, working closely with vendors or other support resources as needed.
Ensure proper documentation for installations, configurations, and modifications to the system.
Qualification Required
Diploma in Instrumentation
Good working knowledge in SPPID software
Desired Candidate Profile
Years of experience
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the relevant filed
At least 3-5 years in the oil and Gas EPC projects in the same role.
Skills Required
SPI Administration: Proficiency in administering SPPID Systems for EPC projects, ensuring smooth operation and integration with other systems
Smart Systems Integration: Experience in setting up and configuring smart systems integration, particularly with Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) configuration.
Project Execution: Knowledge of project execution practices related to SPI, as outlined in design and engineering practices.
Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills in managing SPI data bases, handling duplicate entities, and ensuring data integrity.
Collaboration: Ability to work closely with various departments and teams, including asset management and engineering services.
Strong hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of SPPID software (SmartPlant P&ID).
Deep understanding of P&ID design and drafting standards.
Solid experience in managing and supporting SPI/SPPID environments, including user management and system updates.
Proficient in system integration and troubleshooting across related engineering tools.
