Colorado Springs Radiologists, PC/PENRAD Imaging, LLC has a full time Technologist Assistant position available in our MRI department (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday).

As a PENRAD Imaging Technologist Assistant, you will utilize your expertise to:

• Prepare patients for exams by properly identifying patients using two patient identifiers verified with the patient’s prescription for imaging, obtaining pertinent patient history, providing procedure instructions to the patient to obtain the best possible exam and reduce the patient’s anxiety, and alerting the technologist to any areas of concern.
• Prepare area for exam by ensuring the proper equipment and supplies are available.
• Perform venipuncture to obtain IV access for patients requiring contrast injections.
• Attend to patient’s care before, during and immediately following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Perform clerical duties related to the procedures, including entering information into RIS.
• Assist the technologist with any support needed for patient exams.
• Support other modalities as deemed necessary.
• Clean exam rooms and restocks supplies for next patient.
• Remove and stock soiled and clean linens.

Qualified Applicants will require:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Certifications and Skills:

• AMT-Registered Medical Assistant with three to six months experience.
• Previous venipuncture skills.
