As a Seasonal Custodial Worker 1 with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will play an important role in keeping Shawnee State Park clean and welcoming. You will help create a positive experience for visitors by maintaining the park facilities and grounds. Position Duties
In this position, you will support the daily upkeep of park buildings and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for visitors. As a Seasonal Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Facility Cleaning: Clean and disinfect restrooms, bathhouses, offices, and overnight facilities
- Surface Care: Scrub, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and fixtures in park buildings
- Grounds Upkeep: Pick up litter, empty garbage cans, replace bags, and dispose of waste appropriately
- Basic Maintenance: Replace light bulbs and make simple repairs or report needed repairs to the supervisor
- Outdoor Tasks: Shovel snow, sweep walkways, mow grass, and trim vegetation
- Equipment Use: Operate a pickup truck or utility vehicle to transport supplies and equipment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately April 2026 until October 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment April 2027.
- Typical work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Shifts and days will vary including weekends and holidays. Will work 5 of 7 days/37.5 hours per week.
