About the role
Description
- Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries and month end accruals
- Prepares & file sales and use tax returns
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances to budget and forecast
- Review monthly P&L and ensure accuracy
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Assist with the month-end closing process adhering to strict deadlines
- Provide back-up and support to the Finance Team
- Takes the initiative and seeks process improvement opportunities within assigned responsibilities
- Completes other duties as assigned to meet accounting department responsibilities
Requirements
- 5 or more years of recent Corporate Accounting experience
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- Experience in Sage Intacct a plus
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with advanced level of Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
