At PVSL, we value our people and offer a competitive pay range of $19.81/hr to $23.13/hr (hourly non-exempt) based on experience, qualifications, and location. The position is PRN (as needed) and the minimum schedule requirements are to pick up a minimum of 3 shifts in a month, at least 1 of those shifts being a weekend and 2 holidays per year.

As a Resident Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our community, providing hands-on support to residents while fostering meaningful connections. Whether assisting with daily activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, or simply being a friendly face, you’ll play a key role in helping residents live each day with dignity, joy, and companionship.
As a Resident Assistant at PVSL, you will:
- Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
- Administer medications under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
- Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.
This job also requires:
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
- A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
- Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Ability to pass a state-required background study.
- Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
