Industrial Designer (International)

PEGA DESIGN was founded in 2008 as the Industrial Design Research & Development facility for its parent company – PEGATRON Corporation. The team was operated by the top designers from different fields and has access to the resources of PEGATRON's technology and its manufacture management team. The headquarters are currently based in Taipei and has a vertical integration from product designs to productions. It is our purpose to provide a comprehensive development service to meet any needs our clients may have. PEGA DESIGN is amongst the few that can provide strategic services for other corporations. By establishing "Design" as PEGA DESIGN's core value, and accelerating in the integration of EMS and ODM, PEGA DESIGN offers a valuable service in DMS (Design and Manufacturing). This business model is introduced to our long-term partners of representable global scales; this is the new infrastructure that will create a new future of how we think of manufacturing. PEGA DESIGN brings together professionals from various fields, including industrial design, visual planning, material and color research, market analysis, and ergonomics. The team specializes in a wide range of products; we've been continuously enhancing products in the field of smart wears, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and information and communication products. Since the founding of this team, we have won nearly 100 international awards including iF, Red dot, IDEA, and Good Design, and has accumulated as many as 500 patents. In addition to the technical achievements, it is also our mission to venture in cultural aspects of designs. We are venturing into a field outside of traditional IT industries, because we want to continuously innovate, we want to break through, and we want to bring the next generation designs to our clients to create better designs and brand values. The PEGA DESIGN team in Taipei wants to get a fresh view and bold ideas from a new generation of international designers and improve its global vision. Therefore, PEGA DESIGN is looking for designers to join our team. Ideal candidates are: 1. Having BA or MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Industrial Design or equivalent experience. 2. Rich experience in design works, minimum 2 years in similar industry, and experience in major global brands is preferred. 3. Highly motivated and creative team player, demonstrate strong conception and sketching skills. 4. Global trend awareness (design, cultural) and ability to perform research, design analysis and come up with design strategy independently. Able to apply strategy into design process. 5. A solid foundation in design management, a good knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of manufacturing materials and processes, including costs and added value is necessary. 6. Excellent communication skills as well as open-mindedness in terms of embracing a new culture both at work and off are an absolute necessity. 7. Self-managed, well organized team workers and highly motivated and have proficiency in related computer skills(Such as Adobe, Creo(Pro/E) and Keyshot..etc. Candidates will both work on more conceptual design studies, as well as on regular projects to get hands-on experience and to bring ideas to life.
