Role Summary:
The System Architect (SA) – Backend Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining workflows and business rules in Pega applications. The SA works under guidance of Senior and Lead Architects to ensure that backend processes are efficient, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements. This role involves hands-on configuration of rules, case management workflows, and backend logic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement case management workflows, rules, and backend logic in Pega applications.
2. Configure and maintain business rules, decision tables, and data pages following Pega best practices.
3. Collaborate with Senior System Architects (SSA) and Lead System Architects (LSA) to ensure solution alignment with overall architecture.
4. Support integration of workflows and rules with external systems and decisioning engines.
5. Participate in unit testing, code reviews, and design workshops to ensure high-quality deliverables.
6. Troubleshoot issues in workflows, rules, and backend logic, providing effective solutions.
7. Maintain documentation of workflows, rules, and backend processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Hands-on expertise in Pega Platform backend development (Workflows, Business Rules, Case Management).
· Strong understanding of rules configuration, process flows, and data management.
· Knowledge of integration technologies (REST, SOAP, APIs) is a plus.
· Ability to follow Pega best practices and governance standards.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience:
· Minimum 3–5 years in Pega development or system architecture.
· Hands-on experience with workflow and rules development in Pega.
· Experience in enterprise or large-scale projects is preferred.
