Role Overview
Skilled Pega Automation Tester with experience in banking or financial services to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of Pega-based applications. This role is responsible for designing and executing automated testing frameworks, validating end-to-end business processes, and supporting production stability across critical banking systems.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Pega applications
- Build and enhance automation frameworks aligned with enterprise standards
- Execute automated functional, regression, and integration test suites
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across workflows, decisioning, rules, and UI
- Analyse test outcomes, identify defects, and support root cause analysis
Banking & Regulatory Testing
- Validate Pega workflows supporting banking processes, including:
- Customer onboarding (KYC/AML)
- Lending and credit processing
- Payments and transaction flows
- Customer servicing and case management
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and policies (e.g. AML, data privacy, audit requirements)
- Test scenarios related to risk, controls, and regulatory reporting
Integration & End-to-End Validation
- Test integrations with core banking systems and external services (e.g. APIs, payment gateways, credit bureaus)
- Validate data integrity and end-to-end transaction flows across systems
- Ensure coverage of error handling, exception flows, and edge cases
Business-as-Usual (BAU) / Production Support
- Support defect triage and validation for production incidents
- Reproduce issues, assist in root cause analysis, and validate fixes
- Ensure regression coverage for production changes and bug fixes
- Identify recurring production issues and recommend test improvements
- Support release validation and production readiness activities
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define test strategies
- Contribute to backlog refinement, estimation, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain clear documentation of test scripts, cases, and results
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6 years’ experience in software testing with a focus on test automation
- Hands-on experience testing Pega applications (Pega PRPC / Infinity)
- Experience in banking or financial services environments
- Strong knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Pega Unit Testing, or equivalent)
- Experience with API and integration testing (REST/SOAP services)
- Understanding of core banking processes (onboarding, lending, payments, servicing)
- Experience in defect management and production support environments
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Pega certification (e.g. CSA or relevant testing certifications)
- Experience in regulatory testing (KYC, AML, compliance-driven systems)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, Selenium, Maven or similar
- Knowledge of performance and security testing approaches
