Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Peer Advisor. The Peer Advisor will engage with users, provide empathetic support, and establish connections with individuals seeking mental health services. Responsibilities include actively listening to users, providing guidance based on offered training, and helping users navigate available resources. The Peer Advisor will act as a compassionate first point of contact, ensuring a supportive experience tailored to each user’s unique needs.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills
- Empathy, understanding, and sensitivity toward mental health challenges
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with users
- Basic knowledge or interest in mental health and wellness topics
- Proficiency in engaging with clients in a virtual setting
- Organizational and time management skills for handling multiple interactions effectively
- Previous experience in peer support, counseling, or customer service is a plus
- High emotional intelligence and a commitment to creating a positive, non-judgmental space for users
