Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pediatric Physical Therapist role based in Mumbai. The Pediatric Physical Therapist will assess motor, sensory, and functional abilities of children with developmental and behavioral conditions, and design individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions, documenting progress, and adjusting interventions based on ongoing evaluation. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, educating families on home-based exercise programs, and participating in case discussions and care planning. The therapist may also contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and training activities aligned with the institute’s research and advanced care focus.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physical Therapy principles and techniques, with the ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Specialized skills in Pediatric Physical Therapy, including assessment and intervention for children with developmental and behavioral conditions.
- Knowledge of Medicine and Pediatrics sufficient to understand diagnoses, collaborate with medical professionals, and align therapy with overall care plans.
- Experience in Rehabilitation, with focus on functional outcomes, family-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Recognized degree in Physiotherapy (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution; pediatric specialization or certifications are an advantage.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with applicable professional regulatory bodies.
- Strong communication and counseling skills to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow evidence-based practices.
- Comfort working in a team-oriented environment and participating in regular case reviews and training.
- Prior experience in pediatric or developmental rehabilitation settings in Mumbai or similar urban contexts is beneficial.
