Front Desk Coordinator / Patient Care Coordinator
Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and highly motivated team member who thrives in a fast-paced dental environment. This role is essential in creating a welcoming experience for our patients while ensuring smooth daily operations at the front office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional, and friendly manner
- Answer incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette and assist with patient inquiries
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently
- Maintain full and productive schedules for providers
- Register new patients and update patient demographics accurately
- Present treatment plans and explain financial arrangements clearly
- Collect co-payments, post payments, and provide receipts
- Prepare and review consent forms and required documentation
- Verify patient information and ensure all paperwork is complete
- Assist with managing patient flow and minimizing wait times
- Communicate schedule changes effectively with patients and team members
- Promote available appointment opportunities and support patient retention
- Follow office financial policies, including collecting past-due balances
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused attitude
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Dental experience preferred, but not required
