Primary Purpose: PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provides detailed administrative and systems support to the Claims Department. Performs a multitude of duties and varied special projects to support both department and business unit's goals with minimum of supervision. Participate in the handling of select multiple property damage claims. Coordinate the billing and collection process for assigned Company damage claims. Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage for storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Primary Duties: PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Coordinate the billing and collection for cases involving damage to Company property. Identify and obtain information and documentation essential for case disposition, participate in settlement negotiations, establish and monitor extended payment arrangements, prepare and distribute related correspondence and monitor case status. (50%)
  • Provide general office and secretarial support to the Claims groups including typing, transcription, file maintenance, handling inquiries and other office support functions. (35%)
  • Interface with other departments in PECO Energy including Audit Services and corporate accounting. (5%)
  • Recommends policy and procedural changes within the support area to ensure both client & customer satisfaction. (5%)
  • Handle confidential data and matters in a professional and efficient manner. (5%)
Job Scope: JOB SCOPE
  • Coordinate billing and collection of Company damage cases up to $15,000 and property damage cases up to $2,500.
  • Provide a high level administrative support to include conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests and performing Administrative Assistant functions.
  • Enter data into the accounting software system and perform basic accounting functions.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews and meetings.
  • Compose and prepare correspondence and reports.
  • Perform timekeeper / Payroll duties for the department.
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate or equivalent and 5-7 years of related experience. Knowledge of Claims handling process and systems. Proficient in computerized Information Systems

Preferred Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associates or Bachelors degree.
