About The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised
Junior Project Manager to support our Sustainability team. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects—from carbon reduction strategies to social innovation—while driving operational efficiencies and ensuring successful project delivery.
You’ll be at the centre of a busy and dynamic team, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, managing workflows, and supporting the implementation of tools and systems that contribute to Pearson’s sustainability goals. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in both project management and sustainability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing planning, scheduling, and execution of team workflows
- Creating and managing detailed sustainability project plans with clear milestones
- Supporting cross-functional initiatives like gap analyses, data readiness reviews, and remediation planning
- Collaborating with IT teams to roll out new data systems and support digital transformation
- Managing multiple projects independently while ensuring alignment with team OKRs
What You’ll Bring
- A strong foundation in project management, with experience in a similar role
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and delivering projects with tight deadlines
- Proficiency in project management tools, with an interest in using technology to improve processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage both strategy and execution
We would also like to see
- A genuine interest or experience in sustainability, especially within education or technology
- Familiarity with AI tools that support smoother project delivery
- Experience using OKRs and leading rhythm-of-business processes
