General Summary: Peachtree Hills Place - The Terraces is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Lifestyle Services Director to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs and preferences of our assisted living and memory care Members. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the senior living industry. Essential Job Duties: Program Development and Management • Design and implement a diverse activities program that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being. • Develop monthly activity calendars, ensuring a balance of recreational, educational, and social activities. • Tailor activities to meet the varied needs of Members in Assisted Living and Memory Care Households. Member Engagement • Foster a welcoming and inclusive community environment. • Encourage Member participation in activities, considering individual preferences and abilities. • Conduct regular Member assessments to adapt activities and ensure they remain relevant and engaging. Staff Coordination: • Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers. • Provide training and development to ensure staff can effectively deliver activities. • Collaborate with nursing and care-partner staff to coordinate care and activity schedules. Community Involvement: • Plan and execute special events, including holiday celebrations, family gatherings, and community outreach programs. • Build relationships with local organizations and entertainers to enhance the activities program. • Act as a liaison between Members, Families, and the Community to promote an active and engaged lifestyle. Administrative Duties: • Manage the activities budget, ensuring cost-effective program delivery. • Maintain accurate records of Member participation and activity outcomes. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. • Ensure necessary supplies and resources are on-hand for activity programs • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior living community, with a focus on activities programming. • Certification as a Recreational Therapist (CTRS) or Activity Director (ADC) preferred. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and activity management software. Working Conditions: • Full-time position, with occasional evening and weekend hours required for special events and activities. • Primarily indoor work environment within the assisted living and memory care households. • Frequent interaction with Members, Families, and Staff. • Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, prolonged standing, walking, and occasional stooping or bending. • Exposure to various elements of weather when organizing outdoor activities or events.
