About the role

The Purchasing Specialist assists the Director of Purchasing and Project Management with activities pertaining to the purchase and distribution of equipment, vehicles/vehicle parts, machinery, furniture, fuel, lubricants, supplies, and services. Assists with other administrative duties when needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Associate Degree in Business Administration or Project Management, or related field preferred - 2 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or transit operations preferred - Experience with public-sector procurement and federally funded projects preferred BENEFITS PDRTA offers training, uniforms, SC State Retirement and Health benefits, covering 100% of the employee health insurance premium and offering $30K in life insurance. Starting Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced educational degree.
