Experience – 4-7 years
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a member of our sign off team, you will perform various types of checks (such as Grid check, Static & Dynamic IR drop(Vectorless as well as vector based), Electro migration etc) at the chip and block level. You'll work with the package and floorplan teams for chip level PDN sign off. You will also drive the methodology for PDN closure for the sign off. We closely collaborate across the teams during the entire chip design cycle, and support cross functional engineering efforts.
Technical Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in physical design with emphasis on PDN
- Deep knowledge of concept behind IR drop & EM(electromigration) as well as power grid design
- Ability to debug EM-IR related issues independently
- Expertise in industry standard tools like Voltus and Redhawk/Redhawk-SC, Exposure to implementation tools like Innovus/ICC2 is a plus
- Knowledge of PDN tool algorithms and ability to work with the tool to set up PDN methodology independently
- Good knowledge about collateral exchanges cross functionalities, like generating CPM and PWL for PI simulations
- Knowledge of reliability guard band and self-heat
- Scripting (TCL PERL Python) ability to debug flows and automate fixes for systematic issues
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and be productive under aggressive schedules
Academic Credentials
- Qualification: Bachelors or Masters in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
