Role Description The PDMS Modeller will be responsible for creating and updating 3D models of piping and associated equipment using PDMS (or equivalent plant design software) for process and industrial projects. Day-to-day activities include interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, developing layouts, ensuring adherence to design standards and codes, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role involves checking models for clashes, preparing isometric drawings and material take-offs, and supporting design reviews and modifications throughout the project lifecycle. The PDMS Modeller will work closely with project engineers to maintain model accuracy and support documentation for construction and installation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in PDMS or similar 3D plant design software, with experience in piping and equipment modelling.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, and engineering specifications.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes for piping and mechanical design.
- Experience collaborating with process, mechanical, civil/structural, and electrical/instrumentation teams on integrated projects.
- Attention to detail in clash detection, model consistency, and documentation for fabrication and installation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a coordinated project environment on-site.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; prior experience in industrial plant design is preferred.
