Role Description
KNS Technologies is seeking a skilled PDF Remediation Developer for an on-site, contract role based in Bengaluru. The developer will focus on ensuring PDF documents meet accessibility standards and compliance. Key responsibilities include PDF validation, remediation, testing, and ensuring accessibility and usability according to compliance guidelines such as ADA and Section 508. The selected candidate will interact with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and provide recommendations to improve accessibility-related processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in PDF remediation, accessibility standards (such as ADA, Section 508, and WCAG), and tools like Adobe Acrobat and CommonLook PDF.
- Understanding of assistive technologies like screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
- Experience in HTML, CSS, and basic familiarity with tagging and structure in digital documents.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently within deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear documentation.
- Relevant experience in similar roles or accessibility-related projects is highly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accessibility, or related field is a plus.
- Certification in accessibility tools or standards, such as CPACC or WAS, is an advantage.
