Job Title: PD Merchandiser & Design Executive – Travel Accessories

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month

Job Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented PD Merchandiser & Design Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product design, product development, merchandising, sourcing, sampling, vendor coordination, and managing the product lifecycle from concept to final production.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of travel accessories, bags, luggage, materials, trims, and product aesthetics while also being capable of coordinating with vendors and factories to bring ideas into commercially successful products.
Key Responsibilities
• Work on new product concepts, designs, sketches, and sample developments.
• Research market trends, consumer preferences, materials, and product innovations.
• Develop travel accessories, bags, luggage, and related lifestyle products from concept to production.
• Coordinate with vendors, factories, and suppliers for sampling and production activities.
• Source fabrics, materials, trims, fittings, and components required for product development.
• Prepare costing sheets, development trackers, and product documentation.
• Work closely with design, sourcing, and operations teams to ensure timely product launches.
• Manage sample approvals, modifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor production timelines and vendor performance.
• Ensure products meet brand standards in functionality, aesthetics, quality, and commercial viability.
• Maintain product development records and support continuous product innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, Accessories Design, Merchandising, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Product Development, Merchandising, Design Development, or related functions.
• Experience in luggage, bags, travel accessories, fashion accessories, leather goods, or export houses preferred.
• Strong understanding of materials, trims, fittings, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to create product concepts, sketches, and design inputs.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Excel, and MS Office.
• Strong vendor management and sampling coordination skills.
• Good communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Preferred Profile
• Candidates from travel accessories, luggage, handbag, backpack, or lifestyle product brands will be preferred.
• Experience in OEM/ODM product development will be an added advantage.
• Strong passion for product innovation, design, and consumer-focused product development.
