Role Description The PCG Equity Advisor role at Axis Direct is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The advisor is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value equity clients, providing customized investment advice and executing trades aligned with clients’ risk profiles and financial objectives. Daily activities include monitoring market trends, analyzing equities and related instruments, preparing investment proposals, and proactively communicating recommendations to clients. The role involves delivering superior customer service, resolving client queries promptly, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines. The advisor also collaborates with sales and product teams to support business growth, cross-sell appropriate investment products, and contribute to the overall performance of the PCG (Preferred Customer Group) segment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and handle queries professionally.
- Sound knowledge of investments and equity markets, including fundamental and technical aspects of securities.
- Solid understanding of finance concepts such as risk profiling, asset allocation, and market dynamics.
- Proven sales skills, with experience in meeting revenue targets, cross-selling, and up-selling investment products.
- Experience in portfolio management, including monitoring performance, rebalancing portfolios, and aligning strategies with client goals.
- Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NISM Series VII or equivalent, SEBI-related certifications) are preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency with trading and research platforms, and comfort working with data and reports.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and risk management.
