Essential capabilities
- Experience in providing technology client service
- Experience in Collections in the Financial Services industry
- Hands-on Experience with PowerCurve Collections Platform - PCC 1.1.x is essential with PCC 2.4 skills (specifically UI build) highly desirable
- Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.
- Knowledge & experience with Build languages

Experience
- It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience
- 8+ years Technology experience
- 5+ years in application development and / or support roles
- 5+ years working within a collections business unit
- Software Delivery technical skills such as CI/CD, Automated Deployments, Automated Testing, Build Servers, Software / Source Code Configuration Management.
- Strong PowerCurve Collections or Tallyman solution configuration experience, gained through ‘hands-on’ exposure.
- Experience with PCC 1.1.x is essential, with PCC 2.4 skills (specifically UI build) highly desirable.
- Experience working with or within a Collections business unit, with a full understanding of key processes such as early collections, recoveries, hardship etc.
- Solid solution design experience & design documentation skills
- Proficiency with Databases & SQL Development, ideally Oracle.
- Competence with Linux/UNIX environments, from an application installation and maintenance perspective.
- Exposure to Java Development & Scripting (XML, Groovy, Shell, JavaScript), with any hands-on development skills being advantageous.
- Good understanding of Webservice technologies (REST/SOAP) and Middleware platforms (WAS, MQ)
- Any experience with Microservice development or maintenance (API Integration / KAFKA Eventing) would be beneficial, as would any exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Experience working and delivering in an Agile Scrum or Agile Lean framework
Key Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements & solutions
- Write well designed & high quality testable code
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into fully functional platform
- Apply pro-actively & perform hands-on design and implementation of best practice CI/CD
- Coaching & mentoring of other Service Team members
- Develop/contribute to software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Deploy programs and evaluate customer feedback
- Comply with project plans, industry standards and regulatory requirements
