Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled PCB Design Engineer to design and develop high-performance, multi-layer PCBs for advanced embedded and mission-critical systems. This role involves close collaboration with hardware, FPGA, and system teams to deliver reliable, high-speed designs from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop multi-layer PCBs for embedded and FPGA-based systems, including electro-optical, imaging, and sensor applications
- Translate schematics into optimized PCB layouts ensuring performance and reliability
- Perform high-speed routing (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes, USB) with controlled impedance
- Apply Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) best practices
- Ensure proper grounding, shielding, and noise mitigation techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams on component placement and stack-up design
- Generate fabrication and assembly outputs (Gerber, BOM, documentation)
- Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors
- Support board bring-up, debugging, validation, and compliance testing
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and layout
- Strong understanding of electronics and circuit design fundamentals
- Proficiency in tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar
- Experience in high-speed and multi-layer PCB design
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
Preferred Qualifications (Defence / High-Reliability Systems):
- Experience in defence-grade or high-reliability hardware design
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Familiarity with harsh environment design (thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC)
- Exposure to ruggedized and mission-critical PCB design practices
- Understanding of strict documentation, validation, and quality standards
Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Capable of managing the end-to-end PCB design lifecycle
