About The Role
We are looking for an experienced UK Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of UK payroll clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payrolls, and maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and resolving complex payroll queries independently. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of hands-on UK payroll experience, preferably within an accountancy practice or a UK-focused payroll environment. You should possess comprehensive knowledge of RTI, FPS/EPS submissions, auto-enrolment processes, statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, CIS, and director payroll. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are essential. Experience with BrightPay payroll software is preferred but not mandatory. You must demonstrate a proactive, ownership-driven work ethic and the ability to work independently while managing multiple client accounts efficiently.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include managing end-to-end UK payroll processes for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, and accurately submitting RTI reports such as FPS and EPS. You will handle client queries related to payroll, tax codes, starters, leavers, and statutory payments, providing clear and professional advice. Ensuring timely processing of auto-enrolment contributions and managing year-end procedures will be integral to your role. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records, preparing reports, and liaising directly with HMRC regarding notices or discrepancies. Additionally, you will stay updated with changes in UK payroll legislation and ensure all processes are compliant with current laws and regulations.
