About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Payroll & Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team at CareerXperts Consulting. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of comprehensive experience in managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and handling invoicing and reconciliation processes. This role requires a proactive professional who can navigate complex payroll cycles, stay updated with evolving labor laws, and maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll processing, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, and LWF, and managing client/vendor invoicing to support our clients' financial and legal compliance needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience in payroll management and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Saral, Zoho Payroll, or Tally.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Deep understanding of country-specific labor laws and statutory requirements (e.g., EPFO, ESIC, Income Tax Act).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing on a monthly or bi-weekly basis, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
- Manage attendance regularizations, leave encashments, bonuses, and overtime calculations to ensure precise payroll computations.
- Coordinate with HR and finance teams to process Full & Final settlements for exiting employees efficiently.
- Maintain and update payroll databases with high integrity, ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).
- Calculate and manage Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), prepare quarterly returns, and ensure timely submission to government portals.
- Stay abreast of changes in labor laws, tax codes, and statutory regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Generate accurate monthly invoices for clients and vendors based on payroll data and contractual agreements.
- Reconcile payroll reports with bank statements and general ledger entries to ensure financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with the accounts department to track accounts receivable related to payroll invoicing and ensure timely collection.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for audits and statutory filings.
- Provide guidance and support to team members and management regarding payroll and compliance matters.
