We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team to work on payroll in the APAC Region.
The ideal candidate will have in depth-knowledge of the APAC (Japan, Singapore, Australia, etc.) particularly focused on
Indian payroll processes, year end tasks as related to payroll. Systems utilized for payroll preparation include: Immedis
UKG payrolls. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our
APAC employees adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Processing monthly APAC payrolls and semi-monthly EOR invoices review for APAC employees including
Commissions, Sales Bonuses, and Incentive payments. Process several off cycles ad hoc and work with equity
reporting. Off cycle payroll processing may include the Annual Bonus payroll, terminations, adjustments, bonus,
commissions and other ad hoc requests.
- Processing funding for payrolls.
- Review and verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Communicate daily with vendors for payroll processing and tax notice investigation, audit data preparation and
coordinate any necessary adjustments, updates or reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations. Registrations for tax account setup as needed.
- Collaborating with Treasury to facilitate and ensure timely funding for payroll and taxes.
- Prepare monthly reporting for Accounting, equity reporting and various ad hoc report requests. Ensure monthly
reporting obligations are met both internally and externally with tax agencies.
- Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with HR, Benefits and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data in the Workday database.
- Conduct quarterly and year-end review. Prepare year-end tax documentation and reconcile payroll data. Resolve
payroll adjustments due to changes if needed.
- Provide support during payroll audits and ensure all documentation is accurate and accessible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in APAC payroll processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Immedis/UKG for payroll processing is strongly preferred. At a minimum experience in a similar
payroll management system.
- Experience in payroll processing of equity is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using Workday is preferred.
- Proficiency in Velocity and Deel platforms is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of Indian payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple payrolls simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Certification in Payroll (CPP) is preferred but not required.
