About The Role
We are looking for an Associate – Payroll to support payroll operations for the EMEA region within our captive shared services organization. The role involves working closely with the Payroll Manager and outsourced payroll providers to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.
The ideal candidate should possess strong payroll operational knowledge, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in payroll data validation, reconciliations, employee query management, and payroll administration activities. This role is suited for an individual who is analytical, process-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end payroll processing activities for EMEA countries, with primary focus on Scandinavia / Scandinavian countries.
- Coordinate with outsourced payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution.
- Validate payroll inputs, review payroll reports, and perform reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Support payroll audits, compliance activities, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Handle employee payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in processing employee lifecycle transactions impacting payroll, including hires, terminations, leave, and benefits changes.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure process compliance.
- Support payroll documentation, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in payroll processing and payroll data validation for EMEA region.
- Familiarity with payroll inputs, statutory deductions, benefits administration, leave management, and time & attendance processes.
- Working knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS platforms such as Workday or similar systems.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
- Understanding of employee lifecycle processes and payroll controls.
Soft Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work under deadlines.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently within a team environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate preferably from a commerce background.
- 4–6 years of payroll experience, preferably supporting EMEA payroll operations.
- Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors and international payroll processes preferred.
- Exposure to payroll compliance, reconciliations, and employee query management.
- Immediate joiner / short notice preferred.
- On-site role based in Bengaluru.
