We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Lead to manage and oversee end-to-end payroll operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant salary processing while maintaining high standards of payroll governance. Based in Bengaluru, this full-time position is ideal for professionals with strong payroll management expertise and a keen eye for detail.
As a Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for handling payroll processes, maintaining employee compensation records, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. You will work closely with HR, finance, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll execution and resolve any discrepancies efficiently. The role requires strong analytical skills, process orientation, and the ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all employees
- Maintain and update payroll records including salaries, deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, TDS, and other applicable regulations
- Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leaves, incentives, and variable pay components
- Coordinate with HR and finance teams for payroll inputs, reconciliations, and reporting
- Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports, dashboards, and audit documentation
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls and audit requirements
- Support payroll audits and ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards
- Manage payroll systems and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll management or a similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and labor laws
- Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Excel for data management and reporting
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines and deadlines effectively
- Proactive approach with a focus on accuracy and continuous process improvement
