Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Lead to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across PAN-India. The role involves managing payroll processing, ensuring statutory compliance, and leading a team to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
● Manage end-to-end payroll operations for employees across India.
● Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in payroll processing.
● Resolve employee payroll-related queries and align processes with company policies.
● Ensure data confidentiality and secure handling of payroll information.
Statutory Compliance & Remittances
● Ensure accurate and timely remittance of statutory payments such as LWF, PT, PF, and ESIC.
● Handle establishment compliances (Shops & Establishment, Trade License, CLRA, Bonus Act, Payment of Wages Act, etc.).
● Support audits and inspections by ensuring complete and accurate compliance documentation.
Leadership & Collaboration
● Mentor and guide payroll team members for performance and process excellence.
● Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders for smooth payroll operations.
● Continuously improve payroll processes, systems, and compliance practices
Key Skills & Competencies
● Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
● Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll management and HR compliance.
● In-depth knowledge of Indian payroll practices, statutory compliance, and labor laws.
● Strong expertise in audits, compliance reporting, and establishment regulations.
● Analytical mindset with cost-conscious and problem-solving approach.
● Leadership skills to manage and develop a team effectively.
● Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and deadline orientation.
