Fraud Science Data Engineer

The mission of Fraud Science and Intelligence (FSI) is to identify and disrupt sophisticated criminal networks targeting PayPal, safeguarding our platform and protecting our customers. Your day to day will include: • Engineer new linking features from raw data for use in FSI's fraud linking framework. • Hunt for new data and intelligence that can be used to link fraudulent accounts across a complex data platform. • Maintain metrics tracking feature performance. • Apply statistical methods for combining multiple data points to identify fraud patterns. • Continuously improve the speed, reliability, and scalability of FSI tools. • Leverage partner teams' investigative findings to rapidly deploy new fraud identification techniques. • Identify opportunities to extend FSI linking solutions with internal partners' technology stacks for holistic fraud prevention.
