We're hiring a Payment Operations Analyst to own payments and revenue at Classcard. You'll keep our financial records precise and complete — every transaction accounted for, every payment tracked, every discrepancy caught early. You'll also be the customer-facing voice of our billing function: the person customers reach out to with payment questions and trust to resolve them quickly, clearly, and without dropped threads.

What You'll Do
- Monitor daily payments and transaction flows across our payment gateway.
- Reconcile revenue data end-to-end, catching discrepancies before they become problems.
- Maintain financial records, dashboards, and reports in Excel with a high bar for accuracy.
- Assist new customers with onboarding and setup, handle required verifications and integrations for their website or product, and ensure a seamless experience.
- Engage directly with customers on collections, follow-ups, and payment queries — building strong, trust-based relationships.
- Be the go-to point of contact for customer payment questions, resolving them with clarity and empathy.
- Onboard new customers onto Classcard's payment stack — guide them through payment gateway activation, KYC, and account setup so they can start transacting without friction.
- Walk customers through how payments, payouts, refunds, and settlements work on Classcard, and help them configure plans, fees, and billing preferences for their academy.
- Run quick setup/training calls for new customers, and document the common gotchas so onboarding gets smoother every month.
- Partner with internal teams (product, support, sales) to resolve payment issues quickly.
- Ensure our payment gateway runs smoothly and flag anything that looks off.
- Analyze transaction data to surface trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and summaries for leadership.
- Contribute ideas to improve how we handle collections, reporting, and customer communication.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in finance operations, payments, or collections (freshers with strong Excel skills are welcome).
- Solid Excel skills: formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, clean reporting.
- A working understanding of financial data, transactions, and reconciliation.
- Genuinely enjoys talking to customers — over email, phone, or chat — and can stay warm and professional even in tricky payment conversations.
- Sharp attention to detail; you catch the off-by-one errors.
- Clear, confident communication in English (additional languages are a plus given our customer base).
- Comfort working with large datasets without losing the thread.
- Ability to explain how a payment gateway works — activation, KYC, payouts, refunds, settlements — in plain language to non-technical customers.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, etc.) or financial systems.
- Basic grounding in accounting principles.
- Familiarity with data analysis or BI tools.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role (support, collections, account management).
