About the Role
We are building a new-age, tech - led, digital lending business focused on small-ticket,
short-tenure unsecured loans for Indian customers.
We are a team of seasoned operators from premier institutions like IIT, NSIT, IIM, with
experience working in companies like ICICI Bank, Flipkart, Airtel, Anand Rathi, Snapdeal, RBS
etc. We are looking for a high-ownership Business Head – Digital Lending who can help
launch, operate, and scale the business from the ground up. This is a founding business role
involving end-to-end ownership across lending operations, collections, customer onboarding,
process setup, vendor coordination, team building, and day-to-day business execution.
The ideal candidate should come from a digital lending, instant personal loan, short-term
unsecured lending, or fintech-NBFC lending background and should have strong hands-on
experience in operating and scaling lending businesses.
Key Responsibilities
● Set up and manage the complete operating model for the digital lending business.
● Own the end-to-end loan journey from lead generation and onboarding to repayment
and closure.
● Build and manage workflows for KYC, verification, bureau checks, underwriting
coordination, disbursals, customer support, and collections.
● Hire, manage, and scale teams across operations, collections, customer support, and
credit operations.
● Create SOPs, escalation matrices, review structures, productivity benchmarks, and
operational controls.
● Monitor application funnel, approval rates, disbursal conversion, operational TAT,
repayment behavior, and portfolio quality.
● Drive collections performance across DPD buckets while ensuring compliant customer
engagement practices.
● Coordinate with LOS/LMS, CRM, KYC, bureau, payment, account aggregator, dialer,
and communication vendors.
● Work closely with technology, risk, compliance, legal, and management teams to ensure
smooth business operations.
● Build and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly MIS dashboards for operational and
portfolio review.
● Identify operational bottlenecks, fraud patterns, customer drop-offs, and process gaps,
and implement corrective actions.
● Create scalable processes and organizational structures to support future business
growth and expansion.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
● 7–12 years of total work experience.
● Minimum 3–6 years of experience in digital lending, short-term unsecured lending, salary
advance, instant personal loans, or small-ticket lending.
● Prior experience in a fintech, NBFC, LSP, or digital lending company.
● Strong hands-on understanding of lending operations, customer onboarding, KYC,
bureau checks, disbursal workflows, customer support, and collections.
● Experience managing teams and daily business operations.
● Strong understanding of DPD buckets, bounce handling, repayment behavior, roll rates,
and collection productivity.
● Experience working with LOS/LMS/CRM systems and lending technology vendors.
● Strong MIS, Excel, dashboarding, and business review discipline.
● Ability to work in a startup-style environment with high ownership.
