OVERVIEW:
The Fabricator – Class B is a skilled production team member responsible for executing fabrication tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining Pattison ID’s standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires the ability to interpret technical documentation, operate equipment, and produce basic signage and components independently. The Fabricator – Class B also plays a key role in supporting team development by guiding less experienced employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate a proactive safety mindset by recognizing, following, and communicating all workplace safety hazards and procedures
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Interpret and work from job travelers, technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce parts and assemblies
- Independently construct basic signage and fabricated components to required standards
- Utilize the MES system to accurately track and transact materials without supervision
- Fabricate basic plastic parts as required, ensuring quality and precision
- Install ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) onto structures independently
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and customer specifications
- Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced team member
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication documents
- Strong understanding of fabrication tools, equipment, and processes
- Experience working with plastics and ACM materials preferred
- Familiarity with MES or similar production tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Effective communication skills and ability to support team development
- Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate the telephone, type and operate computer and mouse.

- Occasionally required to stand, walk, or move throughout a production or fabrication facility.
- Ability to lift and handle materials or samples weighing up to 25 lbs.
