Role Description The Pattern Master is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for creating accurate patterns for men’s, women’s, and kids’ garments, including denims, woven, and knitwear. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting design sketches and tech packs, developing base patterns and grading sizes, and ensuring correct fit and measurements. The role involves coordinating with designers, merchandisers, and sampling teams, checking garment construction details, and making pattern adjustments based on fitting feedback. The Pattern Master also reviews samples for quality and consistency, maintains pattern records, and supports production teams to ensure timely and precise execution of styles.
Qualifications
- Strong pattern-making skills for denims, woven, and knitwear, with the ability to interpret design specifications and measurement charts.
- Experience in garment fitting, size grading, and understanding of garment construction and sewing techniques.
- Familiarity with pattern tools and, ideally, CAD pattern software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, or similar).
- Knowledge of fabric behavior, shrinkage, and wash effects, particularly for denim and other performance fabrics.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and measurement skills, and the ability to identify and resolve fit and construction issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, merchandising, sampling, and production teams.
- Prior experience as a Pattern Master or in a similar role in apparel manufacturing, preferably in men’s, women’s, and kids’ categories.
- Diploma or certification in Pattern Making, Fashion Design, or Garment Technology from a recognized institute is preferred.
