American Fence Company, one of the nation’s top ten largest fence contractors, is seeking a high-performing Branch Manager to lead a flagship operation in the Des Moines market.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success, growth, and performance of the branch, overseeing all aspects of operations, sales, personnel, and financial performance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of sales, operations, and installation personnel
- Foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and development
Sales & Business Development:
- Oversee and actively participate in the sales process
- Ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and completeness of bids and proposals
- Drive branch revenue growth and profitability
Operations Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality
- Oversee scheduling, installation, and project execution
- Ensure alignment with company standards and objectives
Project Management:
- Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and field teams to deliver successful projects
- Oversee estimates, proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and change orders
- Ensure clear and accurate communication across all stakeholders
Financial & Administrative Oversight:
- Maintain fiscal responsibility and meet profitability targets
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Oversee administrative functions and reporting
Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and regulatory standards
- Promote a culture of safety through training and accountability
- Manage incident reporting and safety records
Facilities, Fleet & Equipment:
- Oversee maintenance and condition of facilities, vehicles, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industry management
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sales, estimating, or sales management
- Fence industry experience required (minimum 4 years)
- Proven ability to estimate project costs and manage bidding processes
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $150,000 – $200,000
- Annual Bonus Potential: $100,000 – $300,000
