Senior Product Designer, Creation

Patreon is a media and community platform where creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. Over 300k creators are cultivating fandoms and building their businesses each month. Creators can offer free memberships to fans looking to explore more of their work, paid memberships to give access to exclusive media and community, or sell directly to fans with Shops. Ultimately our goal is simple: fund the creative class. And we're leaders in that space, with: - 8B+ earned since Patreon's inception - 30M free new memberships in the first year of launching that option, and - 10M fans paying each month for exclusive access to creators' work and community. We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator products with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Product Designer for our Creation team to support our mission. This role is based in San Francisco or New York and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model. LINK TO AN ONLINE PORTFOLIO, AND PASSWORD IF APPLICABLE, IS REQUIRED About the Role Patreon is seeking a Product Designer to join our team focused on overhauling the post creation experience—introducing powerful new capabilities while keeping the flow simple, intuitive, and delightful. This is a rare opportunity to shape one of the most essential parts of the Patreon platform: how creators publish and share their work with the world. You'll take ownership of key parts of the experience, working alongside a principal designer, a product managers, and a team of engineers to reimagine how creators publish across formats like video, audio, writing, and more. Your work will directly shape the tools that help creators earn a living doing what they love. What You'll Do - Design thoughtful, high-quality product experiences across the post creation flow—from early exploration through final execution - Work cross-functionally to deeply understand creator needs, test ideas, and ship impactful solutions - Balance simplicity and flexibility to support a wide range of creative formats and workflows - Contribute to a multi-phase redesign that elevates usability, polish, and consistency - Create prototypes, flows, and visuals that bring clarity to complex product decisions - Collaborate with other designers to raise the bar for interaction and visual design What We're Looking For - 3+ years of crafting end-to-end product design experiences - A portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction design, visual craft, creativity, and clear product thinking - Ability to simplify complex workflows without sacrificing power or flexibility - Comfortable working in iterative cycles—sketching, prototyping, testing, and refining - Strong communication and collaboration skills across design, product, and engineering - A deep care for creators and the tools that support their creative process About Patreon Patreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do.
