Core Duties:
As part of the Data, Analytics & Reporting team, the Data Analyst 1 will be responsible for collecting, organizing and analyzing the business data. This individual will work closely under the guidance of senior members to perform data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess sound technical skills in BI & RDBMS, as well as sound exposure in analytics and generating business insights.
Primary Responsibilities
Data Collection:
Assist in collecting, cleansing, and organizing data from various sources.
Data Analysis:
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in datasets.
Report Generation:
Prepare reports and visualizations.
Communicate findings to business users.
Support:
Monitors and maintains data load jobs.
Responds to end user requests for data or help with reports.
Minimum Requirements - Education & Experience
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Engineering, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or Statistics.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics with basic knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems.
P&C insurance and consulting experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to create basic data visualization outputs for business users.
Proficiency in Excel or other visualization tools.
Capable of working under deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Aware of workflow in CRM / support / service ticketing systems.
Entry-level data analyst skilled in transforming raw data into actionable insights and efficiently handling ad-hoc data queries.
Experience with the following tools: BI tools (Tableau or SSRS) and databases (e.g. SQL Server).
