About Zarity
Zarity is building India’s recovery infrastructure. Structured care for the months after hospital discharge, when most outcomes are won or lost. We support patients with chronic and post-surgical conditions including Cancer, Gut disorders, and metabolic syndrome.
Our integrated team of doctors, physiotherapists, and nutritionists works together to manage recovery end-to-end, not just hand out advice. We operate online and in Bengaluru, and are now expanding.
About the Role
We are looking for a Patient Navigator, someone who will be the consistent human presence in a cancer patient’s recovery journey at Zarity. This is not a clinical therapy role. It is patient advocacy in action: explaining, guiding, checking in, and holding patients steady through the months that determine their outcomes.
You will be the person patients call when they have questions, and the person who calls them when they go quiet. You will help us build not just a coordination function, but a community of survivors who support each other through recovery.
We believe care operations should not be built by managers behind laptops. It should be built by people who understand what cancer patients carry.
Responsibilities
- Explain Zarity’s recovery programmes to patients or their caregivers on call or in-person, answer their queries, and instil confidence in the care they are receiving
- Check in with patients on their wellbeing, motivation and adherence to the programme, and flag concerns to the clinical team
- Build and nurture Zarity’s survivor community by onboarding patients, facilitating peer connections, and maintaining ongoing communication
- Coordinate and help produce our survivor podcast, including reaching out to survivors, scheduling recordings, and supporting content preparation
- Maintain organised records and documentation across all patient interactions
- Be the SPOC for clinical team on blockers & feedbacks
- Surface patient feedback and observations to the team regularly
What We Are Looking For
Academic Background
- MSc in Clinical Psycho-Oncology
- Strong foundational understanding of the psychological and emotional dimensions of cancer
- Exposure to oncology or palliative care settings through internships or clinical placements
Mindset & Communication
- Energetic and positive, with the ability to motivate and uplift patients through words and actions
- Ability to take initiative and think creatively in a space that is still being built
- Warm, clear communicator who can hold emotionally difficult conversations without deflecting
- Able to explain complex clinical pathways to patients in plain, reassuring language
- Organised and reliable, you follow through and flag issues before they become problems
- Comfortable working in a lean, early-stage environment where you will be building the structure, not inheriting it
Practical
- Comfortable with basic digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and communication
- Fluent in English & Hindi
Why Zarity
- This is a founding role at a company that is building something that did not exist before in Indian cancer care
- You will work directly with the founding team, with real ownership over how patient navigation takes shape
- Patients here are not leads. They are people who need real guidance, and you will be the person they trust
- A genuine path to grow a career in care operations, patient advocacy, and oncology support
- High-impact work in a space that has long been underbuilt
