Job Summary
The Patient Counsellor will be responsible for guiding patients through their treatment journey,
explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. The role
includes counseling patients about treatment options, surgery procedures, and costs while
maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel patients about eye treatments, surgeries, and procedures recommended by doctors.
Explain treatment plans for conditions such as Cataract, Glaucoma, and Refractive Error.
Provide clear information regarding surgery procedures, benefits, risks, and recovery process.
Discuss treatment costs, packages, and payment options with patients.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for patient scheduling and treatment
planning.
Address patient concerns and ensure high patient satisfaction.
Maintain proper patient records and follow-up schedules.
Support patients during pre-surgery and post-surgery counseling.
Assist in improving the overall patient experience and service quality.
Required Skills
Strong communication and counseling skills
Ability to explain medical procedures in simple terms
Good interpersonal and patient handling skills
Problem-solving and customer service orientation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
Experience
1–4 years of experience in patient counseling, healthcare coordination, or hospital operations
Experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred
