Role Description The Patient Care Coordinator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Salem. This role involves welcoming patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring a smooth, respectful experience throughout their visit. The coordinator will handle appointment scheduling, maintain accurate patient records, and support care coordination between patients, doctors, and other clinic staff. Daily tasks include answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, explaining clinic processes, and reinforcing privacy and confidentiality standards. The role also requires collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to streamline patient flow, address concerns promptly, and help maintain a supportive, empathetic clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in appointment scheduling and phone etiquette to manage patient inquiries and bookings efficiently.
- Experience with care coordination and patient care to support individuals through their treatment journey.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and work with diverse patient populations.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and time management in a busy clinic setting.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or clinic environment is preferred; a relevant diploma or degree in health administration or a related field is an advantage.
