About The Opportunity

This is a consultant-level role within the Pathology Department, responsible for delivering accurate, timely diagnostic services across laboratory disciplines in a multi-specialty hospital setting.

The role focuses on laboratory oversight, diagnostic interpretation, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report laboratory investigations, including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology (as applicable), and histopathology/cytology.
  • Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely reporting of results.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to quality control and quality assurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to provide diagnostic insights and clinical correlation.
  • Supervise and guide lab technicians and support staff, ensuring best laboratory practices.
  • Ensure compliance with NABH/NABL standards, infection control, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and laboratory records.
  • Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation processes.

🎓 Must-Have Qualifications

  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Pathology (or equivalent).
  • Valid registration with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) / National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • Proven experience in clinical pathology and laboratory diagnostics.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, lab accreditation, and reporting protocols.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
