Role Description
This is a full-time internship role for a Patent Drafting Intern, based on-site in Delhi, India. The intern will assist in tasks such as drafting patent applications, conducting novelty/prior art searches, preparing office action responses, managing intellectual property portfolios, and supporting patent prosecution processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in patent drafting, novelty/prior art searches, and familiarity with patent prosecution processes.
- Strong technical knowledge in fields such as mechanical, electronics, computer science, biotechnology, or related areas.
- Exceptional analytical and research skills to perform in-depth patent searches and prepare high-quality applications.
- Attention to detail and drafting precision, especially for preparing USPTO-compliant drawings and office action responses.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with global IP laws, including knowledge of U.S. and European patent systems, is a plus.
- Proficiency in IP management tools and familiarity with technical illustrations is an advantage.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a technical field such as engineering, biotechnology, or a related discipline.
