We Are Hiring: Intellectual Property Associate
Location: Hybrid / Remote
We are looking for a highly proactive, detail-oriented IP Associate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of matters end-to-end. This role works closely with the founders and leadership team on a daily basis, ensuring that every matter is tracked, managed, and progressed without delays. You will be expected to stay on top of emails, deadlines, filings, and client communications proactively, ensuring zero misses across timelines. The role requires someone who takes complete ownership of docketing, follow-ups, and coordination, while also anticipating next steps, driving client communication, scheduling discussions, and keeping all stakeholders aligned.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in filing and prosecution of trademark and patent applications (India & international)
- Draft responses to examination reports, oppositions, and legal notices
- Prepare and file formal documents for patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs through official portals
- Independently handle end-to-end trademark filings and prosecution
- Attend trademark hearings and prepare/file hearing submissions
- Manage PCT applications, including tracking deadlines, annuities, and updating clients
- Handle docketing for domestic and international matters (deadlines, renewals, compliance)
- Conduct trademark searches and prepare structured reports
- Maintain accurate records and manage client communication
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in IP law (law firm or in-house)
- Strong working knowledge of:
Indian Trademark Rules
Madrid Protocol
Patent filing procedures (India & PCT)
- Familiarity with IP docketing systems/tools
- Excellent organizational and deadline management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications
- Experience in Patent Law and documentation/filings
- Proficiency in docketing and managing multiple deadlines
- Understanding of due diligence processes
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Experience with IP management software/tools is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in law preferred
