Job Description: Patent & Innovation Officer – HiWox (Equity-Based) About HiWox
HiWox is an innovation-driven healthcare startup focused on building
next-generation solutions across multiple wellness and healthcare domains, with a strong emphasis on
research, IP creation, and scalable healthcare models. The goal is to create a
high-impact, IP-led company that develops proprietary systems, products, and technologies.
Role Overview
We are looking for a
Patent & Innovation Officer who can lead
end-to-end IP creation and innovation development, from identifying opportunities to filing patents and supporting product deployment.
This is not just a documentation or legal role—you will work closely with the founder and core team to
convert ideas into protectable, scalable innovations.
This is an
equity-based role, ideal for someone with experience in
patents, IP, or research-driven product development, who wants to build a
deep-tech healthcare startup.
Key Responsibilities 1. Innovation Identification & Structuring
- Identify patentable opportunities across healthcare products, systems, and processes
- Work with teams to refine ideas into structured, defensible innovations
- Build a pipeline of high-impact innovation opportunities
- Patent Research & Filing
- Conduct prior art searches and novelty assessments
- Prepare detailed patent documentation and drafts
- Coordinate with legal experts for patent filing and prosecution
- IP Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop a long-term IP strategy aligned with HiWox’s vision
- Decide what to patent vs keep as trade secrets
- Build a strong IP portfolio to enhance company valuation
- Product Development Support
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to ensure innovations are practical and scalable
- Support transition from concept → prototype → pilot → scale
- Ensure innovations are aligned with real-world usability
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with data, research, and operations teams
- Ensure alignment between innovation, business viability, and execution
- Contribute to building a system-driven innovation pipeline
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain structured IP records, filings, and timelines
- Ensure compliance with patent laws and regulatory requirements
- Track renewals and ongoing IP processes
Who Should Apply
